The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will give Rs 100 crore to the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) for the construction of the new stadium in Jaipur, which will be built at Jaipur-Delhi expressway in Chonp Village. RCA commissioner Gaurav Goyal gave the legal documents to RCA president Vaibhav Gehlot and the work will soon be started.
The humongous stadium is set to have a crowd capacity of 75,000 people and will be equipped with modern facilities, top-notch infrastructure, and a huge parking space that can accommodate up to 4000 vehicles. The stadium work will be conducted in two phases.

The old stadium in Jaipur, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium used to accommodate only 30000 people, but with RCA now being granted the permission to build a new stadium, Jaipur is all set to get a brilliant and huge stadium, which can host a lot of international matches.
Speaking to the media, Gehlot said, “The stadium to be constructed on around 100 acres of land and will be completed in 2.5 years-3 years with an investment of around 650 crores. The BCCI has given a grant of Rs 100 crore while a loan worth Rs 100 crore will be collected. Rs 90 crore will be collected by the RCA and others. Under the first phase, an investment of Rs 400 crore will be made. RCA will take a loan of Rs 100 crore, Rs 90 crore will be generated via corporate box.”
Apart from quality infrastructure and huge capacity crowds, the Jaipur stadium will also have two practice grounds, clubhouse hotels, and all other modern facilities, which will help budding cricketers fine-tune their crafts. RCA’s main aim is to improve the standard of the stadium and hope to stage international matches and many Indian Premier League (IPL) games in the future.
