But, that game was called off after India batted for 48.2 overs and set a 267-run target for the Men in Green, Currently, Babar Azam and his men are the number one-ranked team in ODIs and fans were expecting an exciting chase from them, But, due to heavy rain in Pallekele, the match was called off and both teams were awarded one point each.
Now, these teams are scheduled to face each other in Colombo but maybe, the game can get shifted to Dambulla or Pallekele due to the heavy rain forecast. But, talking about the bigger picture, fans are also expecting both these teams to be the top two teams in the ‘Super 4’ stage. So, they can play each other in the final to win this prestigious trophy. India are the most successful team in the history of this tournament with seven titles while Pakistan have won only twice.
