Why Jos Buttler didn't celebrate after scoring a century against Mumbai? The Rajasthan opener reveals the reason

Jos Buttler played an absolutely sensational knock on Sunday, notching his second Indian T20 league hundred. He scored 100 off 68 balls, a knock which was laced with 11 fours and 5 sixes. This helped his side beat the five-time champions, and enabled them to sit at the top of the points table.

Rajasthan have now won their first two games of this edition, and have looked like a force to reckoned with. So far, Buttler has been their leading run-scorer. Interestingly, he didn't celebrate after getting to the three-figure mark.

During the 19th over of the first innings, the Englishman got to his century. He later revealed the reason behind showing no excitement over the same, stating that it was due to the DRS confusion. While mentioning that he wanted to be sure that he wasn't out, Butler also said that he was disappointed that he slowed down.

"I thought I knew, but never quite sure, so just wanted to wait and see. I got a bit frustrated at the end, but I felt okay. I slowed down a bit, I couldn't get the ball the way I would've liked. So we could've got a few more, but you know the start of the day at 194, we would've taken that," said Jos Buttler to the broadcasters, after his knock.

During the first ball of the 19th over, Jasprit Bumrah managed to deceive the aggressive batter with a low full toss. Yet, Buttler managed to get an inside edge and quickly took a single. The 31-year-old was then dismissed by Bumrah a few balls later as the pacer rattled Buttler with a toe-crusher. Later, Buttler also spoke about the threat imposed by the Mumbai pacer.

"It's a great feeling, nice to contribute. A bit nervous, not sure if it's a good score or not. Mumbai always attack me with Bumrah, he's one of the best bowlers in the world, so it's hard work. I thought that over was a short leg-side boundary. This time we tried to really accelerate," he added.
