India and Pakistan will lock horns in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 on October 23, Sunday at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The team led by Rohit Sharma will look to turn things around from the previous edition of the 20-20 World Cup and avenge Pakistan for the defeat.
With India bowing out of the group stage last year, the team management made a lot of changes, the most notable being Rohit becoming the full-time captain of the Indian team. Ahead of the rivalry, broadcasters Star Sports uploaded a video on their social media accounts building up to the epic clash.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who is a prominent figure in Hollywood and a WWE star, can be seen in the video adding to the tension and excitement. “When the greatest rivals collide, the world will stand still. This is more than just a cricket match. It's time for India vs Pakistan - the greatest rivalry,” Johnson said in the video.

A new look team India
The current Indian team, unlike last year, have reached Australia with many fresh faces. Suryakumar Yadav, who is in blistering form, will look to pick up from where he left off. Arshdeep Singh, the left-arm pacer, could rattle the opponent batters on his day.
Commenting on the clash, during the captain’s day, in a pre-tournament event, on October 15, Rohit said that the battle between India and Pakistan would be considered as any other game. Further, the Indian skipper said that the players cannot take unwanted pressure and added that he already had the playing XI ready.
“We understand the importance of India vs Pakistan match but there is no point in talking every time, even when we met during Asia Cup, we keep talking about the families, which cars do you have,” Rohit said in the press conference during the captain’s day.
"I don’t believe in last-minute decisions. We want to keep our boys informed about team selection before so that they can prepare early. I already have my XI for the Pakistan match. Already those players are informed. I don’t believe in a last-minute thing. I want them to prepare well,” he added.
