'What a win' - Twitter overjoyed as Oval Invincibles defeat Southern Brave in match 14 of The Hundred 2022

In Match 14 of The Hundred 2022Southern Brave locked horns with Oval Invincibles at The Oval. Having lost two out of their first three matches, the Brave entered the arena to make up for the losses. Oval Invincibles entered the field after winning two out of their first three matches.

After winning the toss and deciding to field first, the Invincibles' bowler Reece Topley deceived Quinton de Kock with a short ball outside off the stump. Alex Davies perished for just four runs. James Vince and Marcus Stoinis steadied the ship for the Brave. After the 60th ball, the Brave were 69 for the loss of two wickets. Sam Curran got rid of James Vince for just 15 runs off 22 balls. Ross Whiteley and Tim David managed to take the team past the 100-run mark. 

Reece Topley bagged his three-for as he deceived Tim David for just 22 runs. James Fuller scored two boundaries off Sam Curran's over and took the team's total past 130. At the end of the innings, the Brave put on a total of 137 for the loss of six wickets. 

Jason Roy and Will Jacks opened the innings for the Invincibles. George Garton got rid of Roy for a duck. It was his third duck in his last four innings. Will Jacks played a steady hand at the other end, while Rilee Rossouw backed him up. After the 20th ball, the Invincibles were 25 for the loss of one wicket.

Will Jacks and Rilee Rossouw continued their onslaught as they smacked boundaries for fun. The Invincibles inched past the fifty-run mark after 35 balls. Rossouw perished for just 10 runs while Jacks carried on with his aggressive innings. The batter reached his fifty off just 27 balls. Sam Billings got out for just 8 runs. 

Will Jacks smashed two sixes and a boundary off Marcus Stoinis' over to take the team close to the 100-run mark. He continued the onslaught in the next over as he smashed one-six and two boundaries to take the team closer to the target. The batter smashed a six off the 81st ball to bring up his century. Jacks smashed the next ball to six to seal the match for the Invincibles. 

Oval Invincibles thrashed Southern Brave by 7 wickets with eighteen balls to spare.
