Lack of consistency have always been a problem with Pakistan cricket team and I feel it is a problem with Pakistani nation as well. We really take it easy after some good patches/matches #PAKvsSL

Speaking about the match, then skipper Babar Azam and middle-order batter Mohammed Nawaz was the only batter who crossed the mark of 20+ runs for Pakistan. Babar played a knock of 30 runs whereas Nawaz’s inning ended with a run out at the individual score of 26 runs off 18 balls. Star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga scalped the highest number of three wickets for Sri Lanka. Other than him, Mahesh Theekshana and Pramod Madhushan also scalped two wickets each and bundled up Pakistan only on the score of 121 runs in 19.1 overs.
Although Sri Lanka also didn’t have a good start while chasing the target, they lost their first two wickets only on the score of two runs. But the brilliant half-century knock from Pathum Nissanka of 55 runs off 48 balls alongside crucial 24 and 21 of Bhanuka Rajapaksa and skipper Dasun Shanaka respectively, helped Sri Lanka to be on the finishing line in just 17 overs. Eventually, the official hosts of the tournament won the match by five wickets to keep the winning momentum through to the final of the continental tournament.
