In the second match, Oval Invincibles went head-to-head with London Spirits. In what was a high-scoring affair, both teams performed immensely well to take the game right down to the wire.

Oval Invincibles won the toss and elected to bowl first. Openers, Zak Crawley (21 off 11) and Adam Rossington (14 off 8) began the innings with blistering shots and gave a good start to the LNS. After Rossington departed, the Australian star Glenn Maxwell took charge of the batting and added 18 runs to the LNS scoreboard.

Dan Lawrence (27) and Kieron Pollard (19) also made significant contributions to the team. It was, however, the former England captain Eoin Morgan who came up with the best score for the LNS team, making 47 off just 29 deliveries to take the London team to a massive 171/6 in 100 balls.

Morgan did not look out of touch and smashed five boundaries and three massive sixes during his knock. Oval bowlers, Mohammad Hosnain and Sunil Narine took two wickets each.

In pursuit of a big total, the OVI team got off to a poor start, losing their both openers, Jason Roy (0) and Will Jacks (1) in quick succession. Sam Curran (8) and captain Sam Billings (1) also departed cheaply with OVI struggling at 12/4.

It was Jordon Cox (39) and Hilton Cartwright (42) who then took charge of the chase and brought the OVI team back into the game. Tom Curran was next to help his team get inch closer to the target with his quickfire 27 off just 15 balls.
