Bangladesh and Zimbabwe locked horns in the most thrilling encounter of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and decided to bat first at the Gabba in Brisbane. Notably, it was also the first match of the tournament played in Brisbane. Batting first, Bangladesh posted a total of 150 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
While chasing the target, it turned into completely a dramatic end as they got two chances to cross the line because of a no-ball from Mosaddek Hossain in the last over of the innings. Eventually, the Bangla tigers crossed the line, and it also came as a ray of hope for the Pakistan team which is dependent on the other results to make it to the knockouts.
Cricket fans were also thrilled with this exciting result from the match between the two minnows like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. They took to Twitter for pouring out their excitement after the match.

Speaking of the match, opening batter Najmul Hasan Shanto played a brilliant knock of 71 runs off 55 balls for Bangladesh to help them reach a total of 150 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Other than Najmul, middle-order, and skipper Shakib also played the knocks of 29 and 23 runs respectively.
While chasing the target, the senior batter went on to score a brilliant knock of 64 runs for Zimbabwe. Eventually, the match came at the moment when Zimbabweans needed 5 runs off the last ball. Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan happened to do a mistake by collecting the ball before it crossed the wickets to stump out Blessing Muzarabani on the last ball. So, the no-ball declared by the TV umpire made both teams come again to the field for the last ball.
Eventually, Mosaddek Hossain managed to hold his nerves and delivered a dot ball to Muzarabani to cross the line for his team and also to keep Pakistanโs hopes alive.
