'Well done' - Twitter goes berserk as Rajasthan thrash Hyderabad

The Indian T20 league 2022 has seen its first one-sided game. Contrary to the expectations, the game between Rajasthan and Hyderabad turned out to be an easy win for the 2008-champions. They were all over the orange army.

This win would certainly boost their confidence. Moreover, all other teams need to be vary of Rajasthan. If they continue to play like this, then they could stand a serious chance to win the title. They went on to defeat the 2016-champions by 61 runs.

After being asked to bat first in the first innings, Rajasthan's openers came out all guns blazing as they scored 58 runs in the first six overs. However, they were benefitted from some repetitive errors by the Hyderabad's bowlers as they bowled several no balls. As a matter of fact, Jos Buttler was given a reprieve in the first over. After which, the fans in Pune witnessed some carnage from Sanju Samson.

Rajasthan's captain scored a brilliant 55 off just 27 balls. He was well supported by Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 41. A crucial cameo from Shimron Hetmyer (32 from 13 deliveries) ensured that they cross the 200-run mark. Thus, it was never going to be easy for Hyderabad as they had to chase 211 to win the game.

However, viewers witnessed Hyderabad meekly surrender as they struggled from ball one. They were only able to score 14 runs in the first six overs. Losing wickets at regular intervals didn't help their cause either. None of their batters barring Aiden Markram and Washington Sundar scored above 30.

Having said that, Rajasthan's bowlers were right on the money. Be it the pacers or the spinners, all were simply sensational. While Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult started things, Yuzvendra Chahal put the final nail in Hyderabad's coffin. This loss comes as an eye-opener for Hyderabad, as they need to buckle up if they are to improve. At the end, Hyderabad were only able to score 149. Twitter users went on to praise Rajasthan, and troll Hyderabad.
