Former Team India all-rounder Suresh Raina is all set to take part in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023. Raina was among the six players to be roped in by the two new LLC franchises before the Player Draft. The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vice-captain was acquired by Urbanrisers Hyderabad along with New Zealand's Martin Guptill and West Indies' Dwayne Smith.

A global T20 cricket league featuring retired international cricketers is scheduled to take place between November 18 and December 9 across five Indian cities: Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag and Surat. According to reports, 200 cricketers from 12 different countries have registered their names for the LLC 2023 auction.
Former India cricketer Robin Uthappa and former Australia top-order batter Shaun Marsh will be a part of the cricket league for the first time. Other legends from around the world, including Hashim Amla, Praveen Kumar, Pragyan Ojha, Upul Tharanga, Abdur Razzak, and Lendl Simmons who have played LLC Masters Season 2 in Doha have also shown their interest.
The four teams that were part of the inaugural edition - India Capitals, Bhilwara Kings, Gujarat Giants and Manipal Tigers - revealed the list of retained players. The defending champions India Capitals have retained skipper Gautam Gambhir, along with Ashley Nurse and wrist-spinner Pravin Tambe. The pre-signings of the other new franchise Southern Super Stars are former Australia captain Aaron Finch, Bangladesh spinner Abdur Razzak and Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga.
