Rahul Dravid has had to face a lot of criticism that he would never have imagined during his playing days. It is safe to say that the legendary batter was one of the most loved players in the world. The only criticism which can be recalled is when he was the skipper. Apparently, when Greg Chappell was going berserk on the senior players in the mid-2000s, he didn't do anything against it.

Apart from this, he was one of the most respected cricketers in India. When he was appointed as India's senior team's head coach, the fans were happy and hoped for a better future for Indian cricket. After all, he had a successful stint with the colts team for about five years. However, no one knew that the team would go on to concede 378 runs to lose a Test match.
The team has been strong in bowling in the last few years. Also, not to forget, the team never lost a Test match defending a total in excess of 300 runs after 1977. In the last few years, the same bowling attack has won a lot of games while defending rather low totals. However, this time around, they created a record that they would like to forget as soon as possible.
Defending 378, the team had taken three wickets from 109 runs. The world number two Test side was on the driver seat and was expected to close out the game. However, to everyone's surprise, the bowlers had no idea on how to get rid of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow. They went on to take the team to the finishing line. With this, the Indian team once again lost the opportunity of winning a Test series in England.
After the loss, the fans asked the Indian Cricket Board to bring back Ravi Shastri, who didn't apply for another tenure as head coach last year. The fans have also said that till the time Rahul doesn't do something about improving India's overseas performances, he will be replaced.

The only solution is we need to stop resting our main players and make them play as much as possible.Rohit was injured for last SA series..we need to get back as a unit, even tho we didn't win icc trophies in Kohli-Shastri era, the team looked steady and fearless unlike this team
