Former India skipper Virat Kohli is always the first one to stand up for his players on the field. Whether it is the opposition player or the crowd messing with the player, Kohli gives them mouth-shutting replies. There have been a few examples that can be taken from last year. In India's home series against England, Ben Stokes tried to mess with Mohammed Siraj.
The former India skipper took over the situation and gave a verbal thumping to Stokes. A few months down the line, the team played in England for the five-match Test series. On the last day of the Lord's Test, the Three Lions pacer made a point of attacking Jasprit Bumrah. However, this went against them, and was set a target of 272 runs thanks to his batting.
After the Delhi player decided to declare the innings and put the Joe Root-led side in, they made a point of keeping the opposition under pressure with constant verbal volleys. The visitors won the game with a little more than eight overs left in the game. Recently, the 33-year-old stood up for his player once again although the latter was playing in the opposite team.
Apparently, a bunch of Indian fans were watching the warm-up game between India and Leicester. On of the fans started heckling against Kamlesh Nagarkoti, who turned up for the hosts. Little did the fan knew that the player's pavilion is above him. After watching the fan heckling, the 101-Test veteran started scolding the fan.

Talking about the game, Virat came out to bat in the second innings as has scored 27 off 28 balls at the time of writing. In the first innings, he scored 33 before he was trapped lbw by Roman Walker. In this innings, he would be looking to get a big score ahead of the fifth Test against England.
