In the ongoing third ODI between India and Australia, Virat Kohli was seen having some fun with Marnus Labuschagne with Steve Smith sitting on the other side. Apparently, in the ongoing game, the Aussies won the toss and decided to bat first unlike Indore. Given the heat and humidity, the decision seems to be a good one at this point.

Talking about the game, the Kangaroos are looking to salvage some pride after losing the series. They were beaten comprehensively in the first two games. For the first time, they might get clean-swept against India in an ODI series. However, with the bat, they are close to 350 runs although the way they started, they could have easily got past 400 runs. The Indian bowlers have managed to make a comeback with regular wickets in the middle overs.

At this point, Australia has reached 341/6 in 48 overs.

The former India skipper will open the batting for the first time after 2014. Apparently, Shubman Gill has been rested for the game and Ishan Kishan, who was supposed to take the job, is ill. Kohli, who last opened the batting for India in ODIs in 2014 against New Zealand, will do it when the chase is on.

With skipper Rohit Sharma, both will look to get big runs under their belt after making their comebacks from the break. After this game, the Asian side will play two warm-up games against England and Netherlands before starting their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia.
