The Gujarat Giants, a team in the Legends League Cricket (LLC), made an exciting addition to their roster by selecting Jamaican all-rounder Chris Gayle for the upcoming season, set to commence on September 16 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

According to the draft rules, franchises have a three-day window to complete their squads. During the virtual draft, the Giants had already spent INR 5,51,80,000 to acquire 15 prominent players, leaving them with INR 2,48,20,000 to complete their team. Chris Gayle, the former West Indian legend, expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the star-studded competition and representing the franchise in the upcoming tournament.
Speaking about the tournament, the Legends League official Twitter handle sent out a video where he reflected on his will to play for the franchise and also said that he cannot wait for the competition to start.

There are also five venues that have been decided for the LLC 2023 namely Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag and Surat. Along with that, there are six teams who will be battling it out for the silverware. Gujarat Giants will be led by Parthiv Patel, Bhilwara Kings will be led by Irfan Pathan, India Capitals will be led by Gautam Gambhir, Manipal Tigers will be led by Harbhajan Singh, Southern Super Stars will be led by Aaron Finch and Unrbanrisers Hyderabad will be led by Suresh Raina.
