Young Matthew Breetzke was the destroyer in chief as he went after the Sunrisers bowlers. Veteran Quinton De Kock played his role well as the two batters kept the scoreboard racing with boundaries.

Quinton De Kock was out after scoring 23 runs and this was followed by the wicket of Breetzke for 43. This is when veteran JJ Smuts combined to add 100 runs for the third wicket with Nicolas Pooran.

The two batters took full toll of an easy pitch to bat on as Smuts scored 75 runs from just 38 balls. His innings contained four boundaries and seven huge sixes. Nicolas Pooran scored yet another blistering half-century to show why is the most dangerous T20I batter.

Aiden Markram and Tom Abell then set about rebuilding the innings with a stand of 93 runs. Just when the pair looked to up the ante, Markram was out for 29. Tristan Stubbs came in and began attacking the bowlers right from the start. Durban Super Giants though kept their nerves and soon won the game by 35 runs.
