The ongoing season of the Indian T20 League has been full of entertainment so far. While the cricketing action has managed to keep the fans stuck to the TV sets, a few moments outside the field has also grabbed some limelight. Cricketer turned commentator Sunil Gavaskar left his fellow commentator in splits after he teased Alan Wilkins on the Kohinoor Diamond, which is currently in possession of Queen Of England.
The incident happened in the seventh over of the Rajasthan innings, who were batting first after losing the toss against Lucknow on April 10. Ahead of the last ball of the over, Wilkins complimented the Marine Drive in Mumbai by saying 'Queen's Necklace'. In reply, Gavaskar took no time in reminding the British commentator that the necklace is known as 'Kohinoor Diamond'. The former India skipper added that the country is still waiting for the jewel to be returned.
"We're still awaiting the Kohinoor Diamond," said the former India skipper. The 1983 World Cup further added that Wilkins might influence the British Government to return the jewel to India. The duo burst into laughter.

Gavaskar Sir ko Bharat Ratna when?
Thank you, Sunil Gavaskar, for reminding Alan Wilkins about the Kohinoor diamond stolen by the British, for the latter could not stop going gaga over the 'Queen's Necklace', or what we know as the Marine Drive.

A lot of people have demanded to get the Kohinoor back to India but I don't think anyone has asked it as cheekily as Sunil Gavaskar on Global Feedπ#RRvsLSG #IPL2022 #Kohinoor

Meanwhile, the 125-Test veteran's comments wasn't the only thing that grabbed attention. During the game, Rajasthan's Ravichandran Ashwin decided to retire out with only eight balls left in the innings. The decision was supposedly made to let the more skillful big-hitter Riyan Parag to enter the pitch and make some impact.
