The 34th match of the Indian T20 league 2022 turned out to be a high-scoring contest. Rajasthan managed to beat Delhi by 15 runs. It was Jos Buttler who stole the show as he scored yet another century. This was his third hundred of this edition.
He went on to score a magnificent 116 from just 65 balls. This propelled the Rajasthan-based franchise to the highest score of this edition. It is to be noted that the Englishman is currently the leading run-scorer in this season. He has already scored 491 runs in seven matches at an average of 81.83.
However, when he got to his hundred in the 16th over of the first innings, fans were treated to an absolutely hilarious moment. It involved Shimron Hetmyer, who was seen celebrating his teammate's hundred from the Rajasthan dugout. Unfortunately for him, he was so engrossed in celebrating the century that he ended up hurting his hand.
After Buttler got to his hundred in the fifth ball of the 16th over against Khaleel Ahmed, Hetmyer got up from his seat to applaud him. In a hilarious turn of events, his right hand hit the roof of the players' dugout. He was so excited that he totally forgot that there was a roof above him.

The video of the same went viral as well. Fans loved the humorous moment which involved the Windies batter. As far as the game is concerned, Buttler's historic knock ensured that he won the player of the match award as well. He stated that this was a special stadium (Wankhede Stadium) as he started his Indian T20 league career with Mumbai.
"Was a special knock, enjoyed it. I love this stadium, it was a fantastic atmosphere, my first ITL was here with the Mumbai Indians. I am enjoying the best form of my life, I need to continue with this form all the way through. The ball swung in the first over and it was a bit tricky. You need to soak up that pressure and come through it. Once you get through it, the confidence comes back," said Jos Buttler during the post-match presentation.
