India squared off against New Zealand in the final ODI of the three-match contest on January 24, Tuesday and it was the Indian team who came out on top post crushing the Kiwis for 295 who were chasing a target of 385. Despite Devon Conway’s 138, the Black Caps were bundled out within the 300-run mark and eventually lost the game as they fell 91 runs short of the target.
While Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Devon Conway's centuries were some of the takeaways from the game, Virat Kohli’s reaction to the crowd chanting about Gill and Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, went viral on the internet. To add more, the crowd chanted 'Hamari Bhabhi Kaisi Ho, Sara Bhabhi Jaisi Ho' taking a cheeky dig at Gill and Kohli was able to hear the same.
Taking note of the chant, Kohli burst into laughter, setting the entire stadium on fire. Fans, who noticed the same, started cheering and the video is now breaking the internet. For the unversed, Gill and Sara were rumoured to be dating until the break-up buzz halted the claims. Much to the surprise of the Indian fans, Gill was spotted several times with renowned Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan post break-up rumours with Tendulkar’s daughter.

Shubman Gill inching closer to cementing his place in the 50-over World Cup squad
With the 50-over World Cup just months away, Gill is inching closer to cementing his place in the squad with every outing for the Men in Blue. The right-handed batter is being preferred across all three formats at present, on the back of his strong technique and ability to play in tough conditions. It was Gill’s innings (91) at Brisbane that helped India clinch the series win against Australia during the 2020/21 tour.
The batter won the Player of the Series award twice in ODIs during the tour to West Indies and Zimbabwe in 2022. Much to the delight of the Indian fans, Gill was awarded the Player of the Series award for the ODI series against the Kiwis that India won 3-0 on Tuesday.
