Skipper Rohit Sharma has stolen the headlines of social media for his dedication to the game while leading team India in the second T20I against South Africa. A video has gone viral over social media in which he could be seen giving instructions to his teammates despite a bleeding nose.
In the video, senior wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik can be seen alongside Rohit to take care of him. It was the moment when Harshal Patel was introduced into the attack for bowling. While wiping the blood from his nose with a hanky, the Indian skipper was constantly instructing his players.

Speaking of the match, then the opening pair of skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul provided a strong start of 96 runs for the first wicket. KL Rahul smashed a brilliant knock of 57 runs off just 28 balls with five boundaries and four sixes to his name. Along with him, skipper Rohit Sharma also played a crucial knock of 43 runs off 37 balls with seven boundaries and a six to his name.
Following these knocks from Rohit and Rahul, former skipper Virat Kohli and star batter Suryakumar Yadav stitched a mammoth partnership of 102 runs for the third wicket. Sky played a swashbuckling knock of 61 runs off just 22 balls with five boundaries and five maximums in his account. Kohli also made vital 49 runs off 28 balls with seven boundaries and a six.
On the backs of these knocks, the men in blue posted a big total of 237 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Keshav Maharaj was the only bowler to scalp two wickets for the visitors’ team.
While chasing the target, senior batter David Miller played an outstanding knock of 106 runs off just 47 balls with eight boundaries and seven sixes. Alongside Miller, Quinton de Kock also scored 69 runs off 48 balls with three boundaries and four sixes on his credit. Although, their massive partnership of 174 runs for the third went in vain.
The South Africans couldn’t cross the line and scored 221 runs for the loss of three wickets in the 20 overs. Eventually won the match by 16 runs and took the winning lead by 2-0 in the series.
