The 39th game of the Indian T20 league 2022 turned out to be a memorable one for Rajasthan. They beat Bangalore by 29 runs. The fact that they won this game despite their blue-eyed boy Jos Buttler getting dismissed early comes as a huge positive for the Sanju Samson-led side.
This victory enabled them to go right to the top of the points table. It was Riyan Parag who stole the show. After a string of low scores, the youngster finally repaid the faith entrusted by Rajasthan's management. While the 2008-champions were 68-4, the 20-year-old played an absolute gem of a knock.
He scored an unbeaten 56 from 31 balls, and ensured that Rajasthan get to a decent total. However, things got ugly after the completion of the first innings. There were a few words exchanged between Parag and Harshal Patel after the 20th over. Both were seemingly involved in a heated argument.
After which, a substitute player from the Rajasthan-based franchise went to the Bangalore all-rounder and tried to calm him down. It didn't take too long for the broadcaster to cut to an ad-break. Yet, the video of the two cricketers fighting instantly went viral. The reason for their fight wasn't clear, but things did look intense, to say the least.

To make matter worse, Patel didn't shake hands with Parag after the completion of the match. As the 31-year-old was the last batter to be dismissed, all the players (Bangalore batters and Rajasthan's fielders) were doing the regular norm of shaking hands with one another as the match came to an end. However, Patel intentionally decided to not shake Parag's hand. It is safe to assume that this was due to their fight earlier in the game. The video of the same spread like wildfire.

Very #Unsportive Behaviour From Harshal Patel. Keep Going Riyan Parag @rajasthanroyals @RCBTweets @IPL pic.twitter.com/Sg0Pv2pfSC
However, Bangalore displayed an underwhelming performance with the bat during the second innings. They were bundled for 115 and thus, fell short of their target by 29 runs. Parag was fittingly named the player of the match. Alongside his superb knock, he also took four catches in the game as well.
