Team India finished their tour of West Indies in a disappointing way as they lost the five-match T20I series 3-2. However, they won the two-match Test series 1-0 and the three-match ODI series 2-1. Now, they will be in action in a three-match T20I series in Ireland before the Asia Cup that is scheduled to begin on 30 August.
But, before that fans are hoping to see some injured players like KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer for making a comeback in the team as they are still at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, recovering from their respective injuries. Rishabh Pant is also there and now, he shared a positive update on his Instagram story where both the star batters were seen batting together in a practice game.
Here is the shared video:

“We a have a few guys coming back from injuries in any case.” - Rahul Dravid
Pant shared the video while tagging both of them and with a caption that read: “Loved watching live cricket after long time” with a red heart emoji. Seeing that, fans were happy as there were reports of them getting fit by the start of the Asia Cup 2023. Rahul got injured during the IPL 2023 while Iyer got ruled out during the fourth BGT Test match against Australia in Ahmedabad. However, if these players finally manage to make a comeback to the team, it will be a great boost for Rohit Sharma and his men.
Meanwhile, the head coach, Rahul Dravid also shared an update after the series loss vs the Windies and claimed that some injured players will come back ahead of the Asia Cup. While speaking to the reporters, he said: “We a have a few guys coming back from injuries in any case. We are going to have to give them opportunities to play (in Asia Cup). I haven’t really thought about Asia Cup at this stage. We have a one-week camp in Bengaluru from August 23. We’ll be assembling there as a one-day team. We will take it as it comes”.
