Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting was bang on with his prediction about all-rounder Cameron Green’s wicket in the ongoing second Ashes Test in Adelaide. Ponting is an active commentator and is part of the Ashes commentary team. While commentating during the second day of the second Test, Ponting highlighted Green’s changed technique and said he thinks the England bowlers will look to target his stumps.
He also felt the batter is having an open stance because he is conscious of being adjudged LBW. The bowler, Ben Stokes exactly bowled the way Ponting predicted, at the stumps. Green had no answers to the delivery as it crashed into his stumps. He was once again dismissed for a low score after failing to open his account in the first Test.
"A very distinct change of tactics now for Cam Green - they'll get a lot fuller and a lot straighter, they'll target his stumps."

Meanwhile, speaking about the second Ashes Test, Australia are in a commanding position at the end of Day 2, with England tottering at 17-2 in reply to Australia's 473-9. On Day 1, the hosts posted a solid 221 on account of good contributions from David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne. The pair added 172 runs for the second wicket before Warner got for 95.
Labuschagne got to his sixth century on Day 2 but soon got. For a brief while, James Anderson got England back into the contest by taking two wickets. However, the hosts managed to get past 400 on account of skipper Steve Smith’s and Alex Carey’s contribution. The hosts declared on 473 for nine. For the visitors, Ben Stokes picked three wickets, while Anderson accounted for two.
