As it was Mumbai's captain Rohit Sharma's Birthday, this victory turned out to be the perfect birthday present for him. However, he didn't really have a memorable game with the bat. In just the third over of the second innings, Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed the opener for just two runs. It is to be noted that Sharma hasn't really been in the best of form of late.

He is yet to score a half-century in the 2022 edition. As for the game on Saturday, Sharma's wife was visibly dejected after the dismissal of her husband. She was seemingly sad when the "Hitman" was walking back to the pavilion. However, a heartwarming gesture by Ashwin's wife won everyone's heart.

The Tamil Nadu all-rounder's wife Prithi was seen going towards Ritika Sajdeh (Rohit Sharma's wife) and consoling her. She then hugged her. The video of her doing the same then went viral on social media. Fans loved how Ashwin's wife went to console Sharma's wife despite the fact that it was the offie who dismissed the Mumbai skipper.

As far as the game is concerned, Suryakumar Yadav went on to score a superb 51 from 39 balls. This ensured that the Mumbai-based franchise got to their target with four balls to spare. Thus, Sharma was pleased with his troops during the post-match presentation. While appreciating the likes of Hritik Shokeen and Kumar Karthikeya, he stated that things could have been different if they would have won a few more games. He said that they gave tough fights early on, and weren't really blown away during their losses.

"It hasn't worked for eight games. But one thing I can say is, we were not blown away by the opposition, we came really close. Had we won those games, things would have been slightly different. (On Hrithik and Kartikeya) Both of these guys, they are courageous, they want to do something special. It gives me the confidence to bowl them at any given stage. We played very well, bowlers came together, batters did the job as well," said Rohit Sharma.
