Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairperson Zaka Ashraf has created a controversy after his national side reached India for the ODI World Cup 2023. Apparently, during an interaction with the media, he referred to India as 'Dushman Mulk' (Enemy country). Not to forget, India and Pakistan don't have the best of relations at the political level. However, fans living across the globe having India and Pakistan heritage live peacefully.
"Players hain inka morale upar rehna chahiye jab ye kisi dushman mulk ya kisi bhi jagah khelne jaayen jahan wo competition ho raha ho, to they should go with the full support of the nation aur unko ek achche tarike se perform kar saken.”

Notably, Zaka Ashraf took a U-Turn on the hybrid model for Asia Cup 2023
A few months back, when former PCB chair, Najam Sethi approved the Hybrid model (that allowed India to play on a neutral venue i.e. Sri Lanka), Ashraf wasn't in agreement. He said that India should have traveled to Pakistan
“In my personal opinion, this whole hybrid model is not beneficial for Pakistan and I did not like it. Being a host, Pakistan should have negotiated better to ensure that the entire tournament is played in Pakistan. Sri Lanka is taking a large number of matches and Pakistan has only four matches, which is not in our country's interest."
However, after Ashraf took a U-Turn and agreed to fulfill the agreement.
“I don't have any intention of non-compliance. I can't do anything about it now other than honouring the commitment. But going forward, whatever decision we take will be in the interest of the country."
