The warm-up matches for the ODI World Cup 2023 have already started taking place as all the participating teams are gearing up for the mega cricket event. The tournament will be kicked off on October 5 when the 2019 World Cup finalists New Zealand and England clash against each other in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, in the midst of intense preparations for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, the Pakistan cricket team took a much-needed break to savour the warmth and hospitality of Hyderabad. The team, led by their captain Babar Azam, decided to dine out at a royal restaurant, giving fans an unexpected treat.

The cricketers were not only seen relishing the delectable Hyderabadi cuisine but also took the time to click pictures with excited fans. The atmosphere was electric as the players mingled with locals, signing autographs and sharing moments of laughter. 

Pakistan lost their warm-up game against New Zealand

Pakistan cricket team arrived in India on September 27 for the early preparations of the grand event. They also played a warm-up match on September 29 against New Zealand where they displayed a magnificent batting performance and achieved a massive total of 345 runs in the first innings.

However, the target proved to be not enough for the bowlers to defend as the Blackcaps chased the target in just 43.4 overs. Mohammed Rizwan smashed a century for Pakistan while Rachin Ravindra was the highest scorer for New Zealand scoring 97 runs.

Pakistan’s first World Cup match will be against the Netherlands on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The Netherlands also played their warm-up which was against Australia on September 30 and produced a brilliant bowling display and restricted Australia to the score of just 166 runs while dismissing 7 batters in 23 overs.

However, the chase was interrupted due to rain and the match got washed out. With that said, while training and preparation are paramount, moments of relaxation and connection with fans can rejuvenate the team's spirit and motivation. As the ODI World Cup 2023 draws nearer, Pakistan cricket fans hope that this camaraderie and positivity will translate into on-field success, making their team a formidable contender in the tournament.
