On 4 August 2023, Qualifier 1 of the ongoing Global T20 (GT20) Canada Season 3 took place in Brampton between Surrey Jaguars (SUJ) and Vancouver Knights (VK). However, Jaguars managed a 38-run win and Matthew Forde won the Player of the Match award for his exceptional bowling performance.
But, in the match, VK’s Mohammad Rizwan came up with a lightening throw to dismiss Pargat Singh during the seventh over of SUJ’s innings. On the third delivery of that over, Finn Allen bowled a good length delivery that Pargat nudged to the leg side and went for a quick single. Sensing an opportunity, Rizwan quickly removed his gloves and ran towards the ball.
