Virender Sehwag my favorite batter: Moeen Ali

Ali ranked the legendary Sachin Tendulkar at number three the most prolific batter in the history of international cricket, with 100 centuries to his name. For the fourth spot, the off-spinner chose the destructive opener Virender Sehwag, renowned for tormenting bowlers in his era, boasting a Test strike rate of 82.23 and being one of four players to score two triple centuries in Tests.

“It pains me to say this but he (Sachin) is No.3 because of him being Sachin and I think he started the (art) of proper batting. There was Sunil Gavaskar as well but he was before my era so I didn’t see a lot of him. But Sachin was just different level. My favourite batter is Virender Sehwag because he was something different. The way he batted in Test matches, ODIs and T20s, he scored massive and he destroyed bowlers,” he further said.
