The 31st match of the Indian T20 league 2022 saw Bangalore beat Lucknow by 18 runs. However, the KL Rahul-led side didn't go down without a fight. As a matter of fact, they had their moments in the game, but failed to seize them.
While chasing 183, Lucknow kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The equation kept getting tougher and tougher for them. However, the fans of the franchise were hoping that Marcus Stoinis could win the game for them towards the end. The Aussie all-rounder scored 24 runs off 15 balls, and wanted to win the game for his side.
However, Josh Hazlewood managed to dismiss him in the 19th over. This over saw a lot of drama. So much so, that Stoinis even lost his calm, and was seen screaming out of frustration. It all started when the umpire made a controversial decision.
During the first ball of the 19th over, Hazlewood bowled a delivery way outside the tramline. Although the aggressive batter had shuffled and changed his stance, the ball still seemed to be too wide to hit. Yet, the umpire didn't signal a wide, and felt that it was a legitimate delivery. This didn't sit well with Stoinis.
In the next ball, he was cleaned up by Hazlewood. After which, Stoinis was absolutely livid, and was visibly angry. He even seemed like he was going to throw his bat out of frustration. Thus, these two deliveries saw Stoinis showcase the "Angry Hulk" version of himself. Besides, Hazlewood himself felt that he was lucky that the umpire didn't call the first ball of the 19th over a wide.

"Just turned and tried to get back to my mark as quickly as I could, got pretty lucky on that one (smiles). I am really enjoying the bounce. Wankhede has got nice bounce but here at the DY the bounce is unreal with the new ball. If you get it right you can create opportunities in those first few overs. We have got a well rounded bowling attack and we cover all bases," said Josh Hazlewood after the completion of the match.
