Joburg Super Kings under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis locked horns against Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the 17th match of the SA20 2023 at St. George’s Park, Gqeberha. Du Plessis won the toss and asked Eastern Cape to bat first at almost a bowling paradise surface of St. George’s park.
Alongside the brilliant bowling from Gerald Coetzee and Aaron Fangiso, skipper Faf du Plessis also impressed everyone with his stunning fielding in the first innings. The 38-year-old took an absolute stunner to dismiss Roelof van der Merwe on Coetzee’s delivery.
Faf du Plessis took this catch on the second ball of the 18th over when he started running back from the mid-off and dived to make a hold on the ball. Eventually, he ended up taking a clean catch. The video of this brilliant effort from the JSK skipper is also making rounds on social media just after being shared on the official Twitter handle of the SA20 2023.
