On 20 August 2023, Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) took on St Lucia Kings (SLK) in the fourth match of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in Gros Islet. It was GAW’s first match of the season while SLK were looking for a win after winning only one game out of the first two. Speaking of the match, the SLK skipper, Faf du Plessis won the toss and asked GAW to bat first.

However, the match got abandoned due to rain after just five overs as GAW scored 56 runs for two wickets. But, from that match, a video went viral where Jair McAllister came up with a deadly yorker to dismiss Azam Khan. That delivery left the Pakistan international absolutely clueless and surprised.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the fifth over only. On the last delivery of that over, McAllister bowled a yorker that Azam wanted to hit by walking across his stumps. But he made a mess of it and missed it completely. The ball rattled the stump and Azam got out after scoring 21 runs off 11 balls, including one four and two sixes. Chandrapaul Hemraj scored only four runs as Chris Sole took his wicket. Roston Chase took an absolute blinder to dismiss him.
Then, Saim Ayub and Azam Khan put up a 42-run partnership from just 15 balls. Ayub remained not out on 24* runs off 16 balls, including three fours and one six. Jai McAllister took one wicket for just seven runs in one over. Meanwhile, it was McAllister’s debut also. Alzarri Joseph bowled two overs but conceded 26 runs without any wickets. Due to heavy rain, the match got called off and now, after this result, SLK are now sitting at the top of the table with three points in three games with a net run rate of +1.075. While GAW are now in third place with just one point.
