India thumped Pakistan in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 on the back of heroics from Hardik Pandya, the man of the match. Star Sports invited Wasim Akram to join the pre-match and post-match show along with Mayanti Langer, the reputed host from India. The pre-match analysis from Wasim Akram was well received all over and Indian actor Vijay Devarakonda was a part of the panel as well. Former Indian head coach, Ravi Shastri was a part of the pre-match show alongside Wasim Akram.
Hardik Pandya, who played a quickfire 33 off just seventeen balls, took the team home and made India proud yet again in the Asian arena. The Gujarat skipper managed to bag a three-for with the ball for India forcing Babar and co to succumb for just 147 runs. It was the same guy who sealed the match with the bat for India with a thumping six.
Post-match, Wasim Akram and Irfan Pathan joined Mayanti Langer to have a discussion on the match and the duo started clapping when the host thanked the former cricketers for their time. This puzzled the fans who were watching the show and Langer cleared the air when she revealed that it was Hardik Pandya indeed who was walking by.
"The man of the hour Hardik Pandya passes us by. Congratulations to you, Hardik," the host congratulated the all-rounder on his tremendous performance.

Hardik Pandya's heroics against Pakistan
Hardik Pandya turned out to be the man for India against the neighbours. The all-rounder captained the Gujarat team in the Indian T20 League and has risen in stature since then. The high-voltage match between India and Pakistan went down the wire and it was the all-rounder who rescued the team from an embarrassment yet again.
The 28-year-old conceded only 25 runs off his four overs and picked up three wickets. He picked up the wickets of Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed and Kushdil Shah, all with a short-pitched delivery. He then stood up to the occasion with the bat and produced a stellar 33 off 17 balls, comprising of 4 fours and a six to seal the match for the Men in Blue.
