The ongoing Women's T20 Challenge 2022 in Pune has seen some quality cricket played. In the first game between Supernovas and Trailblazers, batters such as Deandra Dottin, Harleen Deol, and Smriti Mandhana played some quality innings. On the other hand, Hayley Matthews took a three-for while Pooja Vastrakar took a match-winning four-for for Supernovas. In the second game of the tournament, fans witnessed another piece of brilliance.
In the game between Supernovas and Velocity, the Blue Brigade skipper Harmanpreet Kaur took a stunning catch at short third man. She took the catch of Shafali Verma, who scored 51 off 33 balls including nine fours and a six. Kaur took the catch in the 10th over of the second innings. The video of the catch has gone viral on social media. Several fans were awestruck by her brilliant catch.

Talking about the game, Velocity beat Supernovas by seven wickets. Batting first, the Purple Brigade scored 150/5, thanks to skipper Kaur's 71 off 52 balls including seven fours and three sixes. Apart from her, Taniya Bhatia (36) and Sune Luus (20) played useful innings. In reply, the Deepti Sharma-led side chased down the total with 10 balls to spare.
Shafali Varma's fifty and Laura Wolvaardt's 51 off 35 balls including seven fours and six helped the team win their first game of the season. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led came into the game to ensure their place in the final as they had beaten Trailblazers in the first game. However, they are still ahead in the race for the final. Their Net Run Rate (NRR) is 0.912. On the other hand, the Trailblazers need to win their last game against Velocity by a crazy margin as the NRR is (-2.450).
On the other hand, Velocity's NRR is 0.736 and is looking set to play the final alongside Supernovas on May 28. Velocity are looking to win their first title in the third season of the championship. The first season was one by Supernovas in 2019 while the 2020 season was won by Trailblazers.
