Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is playing his first game of the ongoing three-match ODI series against India. He was supposed to play the three-match T20I series in South Africa before going on a paternal break. However, ahead of the series, he got injured and missed the T20Is too. Ahead of the ongoing series, he made a comeback but didn't play the first two games.
In the ongoing third game, the first-choice players such as Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell, etc. have been inducted. Apparently, ahead of the upcoming World Cup, even India also brought back the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah also made a comeback in the team. Meanwhile, coming back to Maxwell, his team wanted him to get some game.
Talking about his batting, he could only get five runs off seven balls before being cleaned up by Bumrah in the 39th over. With the ball, the two-time World Cup winner has taken three wickets at this point. Also, he has been one of the best fielders in the match so far.

Glenn Maxwell taking wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli might have turned the game
Maxwell took the first wicket of Washington Sundar after the powerplay. Meanwhile, Sharma, who was doing well with 81 off 57 balls, tried to hit over Maxwell in the 21st over. At that point, India was 144/1 and Sharma had hit a six in the over. Meanwhile, after the Mumbaikar hit the ball, Maxwell claimed to have lost sight of the white Kookaburra.
Somehow, the ball got stuck in his hand. A few overs later, Glenn took the wicket of Virat Kohli. These wickets have led the home team to get derailed in the run chase. At this point, India is stuck on 249/6, needing 104 more runs to win.
