On 29 July 2023, Texas Super Kings (TSK) locked horns with Mumbai Indians New York (MI NY) in qualifier two of the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) in Dallas. So, fans were waiting to see the clash between Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo. But, both of them missed the clash due to injuries.

Hence, Nicholas Pooran led MI NY in the absence of Pollard. However, MI NY managed to win the match by six wickets. But, after the win, a video went viral where Pollard was seen having a funny banter with Bravo as he was pointing him with a gesture of a plane as they got crashed out of the tournament.

MI NY will play against SEA in the final of the inaugural season of MLC 2023
However, it was not the first time when these two were seen having a funny banter. For a long period of time, both of them played for two big IPL franchises, Mumbai and Chennai. Hence, they always go after each other based on the success their respective franchises have tasted over all these years. Speaking of the match, TSK batted first and scored 158 runs in 20 overs. In reply, MI NY chased down the target in 19 overs with six wickets in hand. Trent Boult won the Player of the Match award for picking up four wickets for 24 runs.
After the match, Pooran said: “(Message before today's game) The message was all about replicating what we did yesterday. The team spirit is there, we are working together as a team. Everyone has contributed. (On not using Kenjige) It was definitely match-ups. We were controlling the game nicely. He was not needed tonight but hopefully he can come good in the final. (On Brevis) Two good scores under his belt now. He is maturing really nicely and we are happy with the way he is batting.” Now, MI NY will take on Seattle Orcas (SEA) in the final on 30 July in Dallas.
