Melbourne Renegades locked horns in the seventh match of the Big Bash League 2022. The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. Batting first, Rilee Rossouw and Alex Ross played the crucial knocks of 53 runs and 39 runs respectively. Following them, lower-order batter Oliver Davies also contributed with an individual knock of 33 runs off just 18 balls with four boundaries and a six to his name.
Apart from the brilliant display of batting from Alex Ross, one of his two sixes attracted the eyeballs as it went straight and ended up injuring a fan in a different manner. The fans went into an effort of taking a catch and fell down off his chair and also ended up dropping the catch following his effort.

Speaking of the match between Melbourne and Sydney, the former chased down the target of 175 runs after losing six wickets with one ball to spare and won the match by four wickets. The veteran batter and former ODI skipper of Australia, Aaron Finch played a brilliant knock of 70 runs off 43 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes to his name.
Other than Finch, skipper, and opener Nic Maddinson also contributed with a crucial individual knock of 39 runs with two boundaries and three sixes on his credit.
Daniel Sams scalped 3 wickets while bowling for Thunders in the second innings alongside Gurinder Sandhu who picked two wickets. Brendon Doggett also claimed a wicket to his name. But unfortunately, the visitors could not defend their total of 174 runs and lost the match on the penultimate delivery of the last over.
