On 10 April 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Chinnaswamy stadium in the ongoing IPL. Faf du Plessis and his men were looking for a win in front of the home crowd as they suffered a defeat against KKR in their last match. Speaking of the match, KL Rahul won the toss and asked RCB to bat first.

While batting first, RCB posted 212 runs for two wickets in 20 overs. Faf du Plessis smashed LSG bowlers all around the park as he remained not out. But, during that innings, he managed to hit a huge six off Bishnoi and that left all fans surprised. The video has now gone viral and fans have lauded the power hitting from the RCB skipper.

Faf du Plessis scored 79* runs off 46 balls against LSG
Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 15th over of RCB’s innings. Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis were batting. Raavi Bishnoi came up to bowl as it was his fourth over. In the first three overs, he conceded only 19 runs without any wickets. But, in the last over, the RCB skipper smashed three sixes and Bisnoi went for 19 runs. On the fourth delivery of that over, Bishnoi bowled a short ball just outside off. Du Plessis went deep into the crease and smoked it out of the ground. Later, it got confirmed that the ball went for 115m and it was the biggest six of this edition of IPL.
Seeing that gigantic hit, Glenn Maxwell was also in shock as he was at the non-striker end. Speaking of the match, Virat Kohli scored 61 runs off 44 balls, including four fours and four sixes. Then, Glenn Maxwell also scored 59 runs off 29 balls, including three fours and six sixes. Faf du Plessis remained not out on 79* runs off 46 balls, including five fours and five sixes. It was a forgettable night for LSG bowlers as only Mark Wood and Amit Mishra managed to take one wicket each.
