The Australia team are currently touring the economic crisis-hit Sri Lanka for an all-format tour. After winning one each of the T20I and ODI series, both teams have set their sights on the tour-defining Test series.
The first match of the Test series got off to an entertaining start with Sri Lanka getting all out at just 121 and Australia also struggling at 95/3. The Southpaw David Warner although could not do much with the bat he had already made his mark when his side were fielding.
The incident that is being shared innumerably on social media is Warner taking a catch of Dimuth Karunaratne. The incident is from the 30th over of Sri Lanka’s batting when a Nathan Lyon ball hit the bat-pad and went up in the air. All Australian fielders including the keeper went straight to appeal and did not care about where the ball went. An alert David Warner however ran from the slip and took a spectacular diving catch in gravity-defining fashion.

Thankfully for Australia but more so for the cricket fans, the call was sent to the third umpire which meant that everyone could see the glorious catch in slow motion. Since then it has created a buzz with many saying it's one of the best catches in cricket.
Talking of the game, it has all been to bowlers on both sides so far. The Sri Lanka team came to bat first but were all out for just 212 runs with Lyon taking a fifer in 25 overs. Mitchell Swepson came up with his very own three-wicket spell in just 13 overs. Niroshan Dickwella from Sri Lanka was their best batter of the day having made 58 off of 59 balls.
Coming onto bat in the first innings, Australia suffered a similar fate as the hosts and lost three wickets at just 98 runs. Usman Khwaja is almost at his half-century (47) but the visitors would be missing Steve Smith (6) who was run out in an unfortunate confusion with Khwaja.
