Ahead of the tournament opener, Australia men's cricket team players have revealed their favourite players to watch out for in WBBL 2023. In a video shared by Weber Women's Big Bash League on its X handle, opening batter David Warner, skipper Pat Cummins, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and star batter Steve Smith named their favourite players.

All four have chosen different players, but all are from their respective countries. Warner picked Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield. The reason why he chose Healy is that his daughters love the wicketkeeper batter. As for Litchfield, Warner thinks she's a good young player and hits the ball well. Cummins also went with Litchfield as he believes the 20-year-old is an "absolute superstar".

Marsh chose Perth Scorchers' wicketkeeper batter Beth Mooney because she is reliable and trustworthy. Meanwhile, for Smith, the player to watch out for in the upcoming season is Ashleigh Gardner. It was her power-hitting ability that attracted the Aussie star.
