Delhi beat Kolkata by four wickets on Thursday. After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, the Rishabh Pant-led side were superb with the ball. They managed to restrict Kolkata to just 146, and picked nine wickets in the process.
Although the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Mustafizur Rahman were simply sensational, Chetan Sakariya's performance was one of the major highlights. This was because he was playing his first game for the Delhi-based franchise. After impressing one and all during the 2021 edition, people had high hopes from him this time around as well. The 24-year-old was given a game as Khaleel Ahmed had to miss this match due to an injury.
He didn't disappoint as he cleaned up Aaron Finch in his third ball. While bowling the second over of the first innings, Sakariya dismissed Australia's limited-overs captain. What followed was a unique celebration. After he uprooted Finch's stumps, the pacer showed the "Wakanda Forever" sign from Black Panther and celebrated. After which, he came up with a unique "Dragon Ball Z" celebration.

Thus, his celebration instantly went viral on social media. Fans loved the same. He ended up giving just 17 runs in his three overs. After the completion of the match, the talented bowler said that it was an emotional celebration. He stated that it was for his father.
"It's an emotional celebration, it's for my father, he always used to tell about taking the wicket of an international player by bowled," said Chetan Sakariya while speaking to Kuldeep Yadav after the match. In the meanwhile, the wrist-spinner picked a four-fer during the first innings.
As far as the second innings of the game is concerned, Delhi chased their target with an over to spare. David Warner scored 42 runs from 26 balls. However, the Delhi-based franchise were in a spot of bother as they were reduced to 84-5. However, Rovman Powell's 16-ball 33 ensured that Delhi ended up on the winning side. This was their fourth win of this edition.
