The Pakistan Women’s team captain Bismah Maroof celebrated her half-century against Australia women in their second game of the Women's World Cup by bringing out the cradle celebration. The video of the act soon went viral following the incident. The heart-warming video earned a lot of likes and the netizens were delighted to see the clip.
It was the sixth match of the Women’s World Cup 2022 between Australia and Pakistan. The Australian ladies won the match convincingly, dominating the opposition in all three aspects of the game. The Aussies won the match by a margin of 7 wickets as they chased down the target of 191 runs set by the women in green, with about 15 overs to spare. This is the second defeat for the Pakistanis in the tournament. They earlier lost to India in their opening game.
The Pakistan skipper played a sensational knock scoring 78 runs off 122 deliveries. The left-handed batter stood firm against a very potent Australian bowling and guided herself with command. Bismah kept running out of partners from the opposite end but that did not deter her and she scored a beautiful and valiant half-century. This knock from the skipper was one of the very few positives for the Pakistanis to take from the match.
Ass she reached her half-century, Bismah brought out the cradle to celebrate her landmark, dedicating it to her baby daughter Fatima. After she raised her bat to the spectators, she waved to her little daughter in the stands. The clip of the event soon went viral as the viewers enjoyed the love shown by the mother on-field for her daughter.
