Fans might remember the MP player for rescuing the Red Army in the Indian T20 League 2022. Before he joined the team, they were struggling with the bat. He joined the team after Luvnith Sisodia was ruled out due to injury. The right-hander played eight games and scored 333 runs. This includes his maiden hundred against Lucknow in the Eliminator game.

Talking about his performance in the Ranji final, he scored a quick hundred in the first innings. This innings helped the 1998-99 finalists push Mumbai away from the game. The central India team went to score 536 all-out, in reply to Mumbai's 374. In the second innings, the 29-year-old scored 30 not and scored the winning run. With this victory, the team has won their maiden title after being renamed in 1956.

Before 1956, MP was known as Holkar and had won four titles in 10 finals from 1944 to 1955. Since the renaming of the state, the team had played only on final in 1998-99. They played the same opponents who won the final after MP collapsed from 108/3 to 150 all-out in the last session of the game.
