Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been one of the best players for quite a while now. A few years ago, he became the skipper of his team across all formats of the game. Currently, Azam comes in the Top Four batters in Test cricket and is at the peak of his powers. Besides, he has been in sensational form of late.
The right-hander is ranked number in ODI and T20I formats. This year alone, the Lahore player has hit four international hundreds. The 27-year-old has been the number one batter in the shortest format for the last 1013 days. With this, the Karachi Kings skipper in the Pakistan Super League has broken Virat Kohli's record of staying number in the format.
Meanwhile, during a press conference, Babar was asked about the record in question.
"I have two questions. My first question is... you recently broke Virat Kohli's record...," the reporter asked. To which Babar stopped the reporter and asked, "Kaun sa (which one)?" The journalist said, "You have remained No. 1 in T20Is for the longest time." In reply, the former Islamabad United player said that he is thankful to god and there is hard work involved in the achievement.
He don't even remember how many records he breaks because Ab to aadat si hai mujh ko 😉
