Throughout the history of cricket, there have been numerous exceptional all-rounders who have graced the field. They have consistently delivered match-winning performances that have turned the games on its head. Nevertheless, certain all-rounders distinguish themselves from their peers and are universally acknowledged as some of the greatest in the history of the sport.
In the first Test against Pakistan, the Australian dressing room garnered attention as a viral picture depicted a whiteboard displaying a list of players recognized as the greatest spin all-rounders of all time. Notably, Steve Smith was pictured standing in front of the board as he was waiting for his chance to go out to bat on a beautiful Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) ground.
Moreover, prominent Indian all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel were acknowledged among the finest spin-bowling all-rounders in cricket history in the Australian dressing room. During the Boxing Day Test against Pakistan at the iconic MCG, Australia displayed the names of the premier spinning all-rounders on the board. The list featured legendary figures such as Sir Gary Sobers, Daniel Vettori, Shakib Al Hassan, Richie Benaud, Travis Head, and Samit Patil.

Australia lead the series 1-0
Australia are presently engaged in the Boxing Day Test against Pakistan at the MCG. The host team secured a 1-0 lead by emerging victorious in the Test series opener against the touring party at the Optus Stadium in Perth on December 18. They defeated the Pakistan team by 360 runs in the first Test Match. The Pakistan team needs to win the second Test so that they can keep their hopes alive for winning the series on Pakistan soil.
Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are currently in the India squad preparing for the two-match Test series against South Africa. The first Test match is set to commence on December 26 at SuperSport Park in Centurion. This marks their return to Team India following the World Cup Final loss against Australia in November.
