On 21 July 2023, Virat Kohli was in action as he was one of the overnight batters along with Ravindra Jadeja when Team India resumed the action on day two of the ongoing second Test against the West Indies. Kohli was unbeaten on 87* runs after day one as he was inching closer to his much-awaited overseas century in the red ball format after a long gap of five years.

However, Kohli did not make any mistakes as he successfully managed to notch up his 29th Test ton in the Port of Spain. This match was his 500th international game also and he rose to the occasion after putting an end to the drought of overseas Test centuries. After this remarkable achievement, his wife, the Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma came up with an adorable Instagram story for her husband.

Speaking of the story, she shared an image of Kohli celebrating his hundred with a red heart emoji. Fans know the adorable bond they share between them and seeing that, fans also went crazy. Speaking of the knock, it was Kohli’s 76th international ton across all three formats for the Men in Blue. Virat Kohli also became the first batter to score a century in the 500th game. Finally, he got out on 121 runs off 206 balls, including 11 fours. Alzarri Joseph managed a direct run-out and the former Team India skipper found himself short of the crease while he was looking for a quick single.

He and Jadeja put up a partnership of 159 runs for the fifth wicket. Speaking of the match, Jadeja finished day one with a score of 36* runs and he also notched up another fifty. Jadeja got out on 61 runs off 152 balls, including five fours as Kemar Roach took his wicket. After that, Ishan Kishan and Ravichandran Ashwin managed to see off the morning session as India were on 373 runs for six wickets in 108 overs.
