The 6IXTY is underway and the teams qualified for the next round are toiling it hard to clinch the title in the inaugural edition. It has been an action-packed season as fans have been kept on the edge of their seat with boundaries and wickets all over. One heart-warming incident took place in the match between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders, recently.
The match turned out to be a thriller and a high-scoring one as the Patriots skipper, Evin Lewis decided to field first after winning the toss and allowed their opponents put on a mammoth total of 155 for the loss of five wickets at the end of the innings.
Andre Russell, who is in the midst of a controversy for avoiding national duties to play in the leagues, looked in the beast mode as he smashed six consecutive sixes while trying to push his team's total beyond the 100-run mark.
The all-rounder was in fine nick and managed to score a total of 72 runs off just 24 balls in an inning that comprised of five 4s and as many as eight 6s with over 300 strike rate.

The Caribbean's fiery inning proved to be helpful for the Knight Riders as they clinched the match after having restricted the opponents three runs short.Ā

The match turned out to be an electrifying one with the all-rounder punishing the Patriots' bowlers all around the park. Tim Seifert and Tion Webster contributed 22 runs each to the team's score to allow the Caribbean batter play his blitzkrieg inning. Some serious striking from Andre Russell helped the knight to push the team's total to 155.Ā
The Patriots batters looked low in confidence after Russell's onslaught but the opener Andre Fletcher brought things under control with a quick 33, followed by Sherfane Rutherford's fifteen-ball fifty to take the team closer to the target. A poor over from Jayden Seales brought worry for Trinbago Knight Riders but they won the it by three runs in the end.Ā
The first semi-final will be played between Jamaica Tallawahs and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots while Barbados Royals and Trinbago Knight Riders will lock horns in the second semi-final.
