Speaking of the video, the incident took place on the first delivery of the 19th over as Haris Rauf came up to bowl. LAKR needed 50 runs in the last two overs and on the first delivery, Russell smashed Rauf for a 108-m six to the leg side. He picked up the slow delivery and hammered it to the leg side. On the fifth delivery of the same over, the Caribbean all-rounder smashed another six that went for a handsome distance of 103 metres. Speaking of the match, the SFU skipper, Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first. While batting first, they scored 212 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.

Matthew Wade was the highest scorer with 78 runs off 41 balls, including seven fours and five sixes. In reply, LAKR managed only 191 runs for five wickets in 20 overs and fell short by 21 runs. After the loss, the LAKR skipper, Sunil Narine said: “We started well with the ball but then we let it slipped away. Chasing 200 on this wicket, we needed a good start and we got it. Then, in the middle overs, we let it slip. Maybe 170-180 was par and it would have given us a better chance to chase. The wickets in the middle strangled us a little.“
