If speaking about the cost of this dropped catch for Pakistan then it was a lot. This knock played a crucial role for Sri Lanka to reach a decent total of 170 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Rajapaksa also stitched two half-century partnerships with skipper Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasranga respectively. Wanindu Hasaranga also contributed to the title triumph of Sri Lanka with his amazing all-around performance both with the bat and the ball. Hasaranga scored 36 runs with the bat having five boundaries and a six and also scaped three wickets with the ball in the second innings.

Eventually, Sri Lanka won the match by 23 runs to clinch the Asia Cup title for the sixth time in the history of the tournament.
