Indian T20 League’s Punjab Franchise has named the former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer as their batting coach for the next edition of the Indian T20 League. The franchise took to its official Twitter handle to announce the arrival of Jaffer in their locker room for the next season of the cash-rich Indian T20 League.
As soon as the news of Jaffer’s appointment went public, former England skipper Michael Vaughan happened to make fun of the former with a tweet.
Congrats @WasimJaffer14 on being appointed as Punjab Kings batting coach. Notably, Jaffer and Vaughan are known for their Twitter banter with each other on a couple of occasions. This time it was the former England skipper who initiated things first. Just after the arrival of the news of Jaffer’s appointment as batting coach, Michael Vaughan went on to recall an incident when he dismissed the Indian cricketer in the capacity of a part-time bowler during the Lord’s Test 20 years back in the year 2002.
Cut to the present, fans were expecting any sort of response from Wasim Jaffer on Michael Vaughan’s trolling tweet. And eventually, the former domestic legend of Mumbai lived up to the expectations of the fans and quoted the tweet of Michael Vaughan and posted a meme displaying a comic character having a burn aid cream Burnol in his hand.
Here's what Wasim Jaffer responded:
