In a line of some big changes, the Punjab franchise has added some more names to their support staff. Trevor Bayliss has been named the head coach of the team ahead of the next edition of the Indian T20 League. Former South African speedster Charl Langeveldt is set to take over the duties of a bowling coach for Punjab for the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League.
Meanwhile, the franchise has appointed the former Indian opener as the batting coach of the team after a hiatus of a year.
“Jiska tha besabri se intezaar, introducing our Batting Coach, Wasim Jaffer! #SherSquad, reply with a meme to welcome the King! (The one you had been waiting for, introducing our Batting Coach, Wasim Jaffer! Subsequently, Michael Vaughan, the meme and Twitter rival of Wasim Jaffer has come up with a trolling remark for the latter. Notably, both Jaffer and Vaughan happened to be in banter over social media on a couple of occasions. The 48-year-old went on to take a dig at the former Indian opener. In his tweet, Vaughan referred to the instance when he scalped the wicket of Wasim Jaffer.
"Someone who got out to me is a batting coach !!!!!!!!!!!!" wrote Vaughan in his tweet while quoting news of Jaffer’s appointment as a batting coach in Punjab.
