29 May 2023 was the day when all eyes were on MS Dhoni and his men as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) locked horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final of the recently concluded IPL in Ahmedabad. However, CSK did not disappoint their fans and clinched the fifth IPL title. Thus, Dhoni has now five IPL titles to his name.

Even, CSK became the most-highest IPL trophy holders along with Mumbai Indians (MI). So, regarding that victory, the former Pakistan pacer, Wasim Akram has now come up with his view in a recent interaction with Sportskeeda. He said: "I'm so happy for MS Dhoni that he won his 5th IPL trophy. He deserves everything." Listening to that, fans shared their views on social media.  

“It would be a gift for them to play one more season.” - MS Dhoni

During the IPL 2023 also, Wasim Akram came up with huge praise for Dhoni. He claimed that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would have won three Indian Premier League titles by now if they had MS Dhoni as their captain. While speaking to Sportskeeda, Akram said: "RCB would have won 3 IPL trophies by now if MS Dhoni was their captain. They have not won a single trophy until now. They have so much support. Also, they have the world's top modern-era player Virat, but unfortunately they have not won. If Dhoni was in RCB, he would have helped them win the title.”

Meanwhile, after the final, MS Dhoni cleared all the fuss about his retirement. He said: “f you circumstantially see, it's the best time to announce the retirement. The easy thing for me to say is thank you and retire. But the hard thing to do is to work hard for nine months and try to play one more IPL season. The body has to hold up. But the amount of love I have received from CSK fans, it would be a gift for them to play one more season. The way they've shown their love and emotion, it's something I need to do for them.”
